TRAINING / EDUCATION

Southern Chester County Emergency Medical Services, Inc. (SCCEMS) is accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Health / Division of EMS as a continuing education training facility. We are also an accredited training center for the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).

Our facility is a paramedic clinical site for various paramedic training institutes including JeffSTAT Education Center, Good Fellowship EMS Training Institute, and Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences. Additionally, SCCEMS provides internal training to staff paramedics and PHRNs on a regular basis. Such training consists of formalized courses in CPR, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and practice individualized skills such as intubation and surgical airways in scenario based training. This emphasis on training ensures that our paramedics are prepared to respond to a variety of diverse clinical scenarios and provide the best possible care to our patients.
